Information about the farmhouse

The house was built in 1962 as a farmhouse, there was a family who ran a farm on the land until the late 90’s. The house has been newly renovated but is still in an old Icelandic farm style and is not like a new house, we ask our guests to have in mind that this is a very rare property up for rent and please treat it as so.

The kitchen is more than fully equipped, the kitchen is new and it has everything you might need for cooking for a large group. Among the kitchen, amenities is a fridge/freezer with ice maker, large span stove top, coffee machine, food mixers and more.

Included in the rental are all bed linens, towels, and basic necessities like toilet paper, shampoo and more.

The house has a flatscreen TV with AppleTV & Netflix, Wi-Fi internet connection, a Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen/living room and a very powerful weatherproof Bluetooth speaker (Soundboks) for indoor/outdoor use, perfect for enjoying music in the pool.

Our swimming pool is newly built, the pool and the house is heated by our own natural geothermal hot water that comes from a 700-meter deep borehole 400 meters from the house. So the heat is 100% natural. The pool will be hot in the winters and in the summertime, we can have it as our guests prefer, at most, it will be around 39°c / 102°f.

The farm is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, business trips or family and friends celebrations.

We work with highly recommended chefs that can come and prepare dinner at the farm. We can help arrange other things for your perfect holiday if needed.
